Home care to a high-care facility with support from Alliance Community
NDIS Support | Canberra, ACT

Daniel faces significant challenges due to his severe disabilities, needing full-time assistance for daily tasks. As his parents, Margaret and Martin, age, they find it harder to care for him alone. Recently, Daniel moved to a high-care facility where he gets weekly support from Alliance Community, providing essential care and offering his parents much-needed relief and peace of mind.

Daniel has Dravet syndrome, autism, severe epilepsy, and both intellectual and physical disabilities. He can't walk or feed himself and relies completely on others for all his daily needs, including feeding and showering. His parents, Margaret and Martin, struggle to care for him alone.

Daniel moved to a high-care facility where he receives weekly support from Alliance Community as both his parents, Margaret and Marin, struggle to care for him alone, with their age playing a significant impact in their ability to care for Daniel..

Alliance Community supports Daniel with exercise, which is vital for his health. Swimming is a highlight of his day as it keeps him moving, aids his metabolism, and helps with his digestion. Daniel's interactions with his caregivers, Chloe Thornton and Hayley Gun, who are nursing students, bring him joy and also offer him meaningful exercise.

Margaret and Martin find peace of mind knowing Daniel is in good hands. They are reassured by the care that Alliance Community provides and know that if their needs change, there will be ongoing support.
